What you'll do:

Summary:
Do you want to be at the forefront of cloud-native Infrastructure-as-Code development? We are looking for exceptional individuals to together build cloud orchestration capabilities to simplify our customers’ cloud journey with SAP and help them to do more with less effort. You will have the opportunity to work alongside an energetic team of top engineers and technology frontrunners, develop leading-edge technologies in a cloud-native environment, and synergize with the infrastructure-as-Code ecosystem at large. This is an ideal role for an ambitious and focused individual who looks for developing and exercising cloud-native principles and driving progress not only in technology but also in engineering culture. At SAP we have diversity at heart, so you will also be able to work with the brightest minds from a multitude of cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

The role:

In this role, you will ...

  • Support implementation of diverse Infrastructure-as-Code solutions to effectively connect SAP’s platform compatibilities and cloud offerings with the vibrant Infrastructure-as-Code ecosystem, such as Terraform, Pulumi, and more
  • Provide knowledge and help internal cloud solution teams to understand and adopt Infrastructure-as-Code requirements
  • Enable internal and external customers to use developed solutions to achieve end-to-end automation of deployment and infrastructure management in their multi-cloud environment
  • Promote, engage, and build an active community around IaC at SAP and beyond

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 2+ years of full-time agile software development experience
  • 2+ years of experience with containerization and orchestration technology (Docker, Kubernetes, or others) and infrastructure-as-code frameworks (Terraform, Pulumi, Crossplane, Ansible, CloudFormation, or others)
  • Excellent coding skills, preferably in Golang, Typescript, and/or Java
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to drill down to the code level
  • Very good written and verbal language skills in English

Furthermore, nice-to-have skills are:

  • Experience in delivering technical solutions in a customer-facing setup
  • Experience with continuous delivery processes, working with modern build tools and automated test frameworks
  • Experience with operating Unix/Linux-based systems and shell scripting skills

Meet the team:

We are a small team of driven individuals who come together for the mission of bringing Infrastructure-as-Code to SAP to greatly simplify customers’ cloud journey with SAP in a hybrid- and multi-cloud environment. We are all engineers, with rich and diverse professional experiences in delivering software innovations in the cloud. We come from different cultural backgrounds, speak different languages at home, and are a fun team of fair play, free spirit, and true diversity. Curious? Apply now!
